The open auditions culminated in a live FM broadcast, similar to that of WTE103FM. For the evening of the Materials Situations private view the audio collected from the individual auditions, which were now compiled into one edited version that resembled the full Read Through script, were broadcast on the 102FM wavelength. I wanted the group ensemble originally depicted in Journey Into Self only to be made possible through the mediated radio broadcast. In a sense I was taking the fragmented individual performances and creating a false community only made audible for a short amount of time.
